Strategic lines The Association  

The Strategic plan contains six strategic lines which are then split into twenty more detailed aims and eighty-four specific actions or interventions.

DEVELOP TRAINING AND RESEARCH AS STRATEGIC RESOURCES

PROMOTE ENTERPRISE AND EMPLOYMENT

PROMOTE TORINO AS A CITY OF CULTURE, TOURISM, COMMERCE AND SPORTS

IMPROVE URBAN QUALITY


Torino Internazionale is the association which promotes strategic planning methods, monitors its actions, sets up specific workshops, communicates to the public the opportunities for development created by the Plan and encourages the public’s participation.

Through the association, the various partners discuss the proposals and further their common base of knowledge. To this end, Torino Internazionale commissions research, creates channels of information, documents the progress of the actions, and follows the single projects.


Strategic Plan

Torino was the first city in Italy to adopt a Strategic plan - which was signed on February 29, 2000 - that involves institutions, political representatives, the economic world and society as a whole in a project to redefine the city’s identity. The Plan is articulated in 6 strategic lines, 20 objectives and 84 actions.

Torino 2008 World Design Capital
ICSID, the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design, has nominated Torino the first World Design Capital for the year 2008.

Tamtam 2006/s
Special edition of Torino Internazionale´s magazine. An anthology of English articles that, during the Olympics, acquainted the international public with the Association’s important new projects, like the second Strategic Plan, Torino World Design Capital 2008 and the Metropolitan Urban Center.
